LIBRARY RULES


The College has a well developed Library having a balanced college of books on subjects prescribed for study, current topics, science, literature, general knowledge, philosophy, history, sports and other topics, It covers 270sq.mts. area and has been well furnished. It provides Local, National newspapers and journals too.

Library Rules

  1. The library functions from 8.00 am to 2.00 pm during the term. The timing will be subject to change during the vacation.

  2. In order to make use of Library, students are required to produce their Library Card with their photograph affixed thereon.

  3. Books are issued strictly in order of application. It is left to the discretion of the Librarian not to issue certain books when circumstances warrant it.

  4. A students library card is kept in exchange for a book or periodical issued for reading in the Reference Section.

  5. Readers must observe silence in and around the Library.

  6. Smoking and eating is not permitted in the Library.

  7. Books can be borrowed from the lending section against library cards for a specified period of time (text and reference books for 7 days and fiction and general books for 7 days) . Failure to return them on time would entail a fine of Re. 1/- per day of delay.

  8. While procuring a book reader must examine it and report to the Library Assistant any damage found therein. If they fail to do so they will be held responsible for any damage that may be detected later.

  9. Books lost or damaged or defaced must be paid for by the reader in whose name they were issued. The value of the books will be assessed by the Librarian.

  10. Librarian reserves the right to recall any book or periodical at any time.

  11. All books borrowed must be returned and cards or periodical a any time.

  12. All books borrowed must be returned and cards surrendered before claiming the library deposit.

  13. Disregard to library rules, indiscipline and misbehavior will disqualify a student from having access to the library.

  14. A student may borrow a book against the identity card for overnight reading from reference section with permission of the person in charge only after 1.30 pm and return it the next morning at 8.00 a.m failing which a fine of Rs 5/- will be charged

  15. Any student found taking a book without due permission will be charged a fine of Rs 10/-
